A study by the CASCADE Collaboration in EuroCoord has estimated that there will be a substantial increase in the number of HIV positive people who will require treatment within the first 5 years after becoming infected... The aims and structure of EuroCoord are outlined in a briefing document which is now available An MRC-funded study supported by EuroCoord published in the Lancet, has shown that 12% of children with HIV develop triple class virological failure by 5 years after starting antiretroviral therapy (ART), and 20% by 8 years.
